Govan Law Centre’s Education Law Unit has developed an independent additional support needs mediation service specifically designed for the Scottish education system. This is now known as Respect Mediation. Respect Mediation is a member of the Scottish Mediation Network.
Mediation is a method of conflict resolution that aims to assist parents, pupils and education authorities who are in disagreement to reach a mutually acceptable solution, with the help of a neutral independent third party – the mediator.
